The Power of A Lone Quince Blossom
It’s the last day of the year and I have mixed feelings about it. We said goodbye to too many of our family and friends who helped shape our lives and three dear pets (Blanche, Diesel and Trek). But, we welcomed Isla and Chase’s two kitties who make you smile just by their presence. Our immediate family experienced many joys and successes. We certainly spent many more days in 2023 enjoying our friends and family’s company than we did being alone. We were spared of any serious health issues. We freely attended Mass at several beautiful churches and safely enjoyed ourselves at public events. We were never hungry and always loved. We were blessed beyond measure. That same thing cannot be said for many others nationwide or worldwide unfortunately. Our hearts have hurt often and our prayers have flowed frequently for our fellowmen. May 2024 bring peace, morality, and genuine concern for mankind back to our world. This tiny lone blossom brought a smile as I noticed it from our bedroom window this morning. May you find something every day of 2024 to bring you smiles. Thanks for your kind visits, hearts, stars and comments this year. Stay safe. “The flowering quince are beginning to bloom, The harbinger of Spring every year. Seen through my window, I leave the room, To go outside, if only to peer.” - J.B. LeBuert
