Disappointed

About a month ago I booked to go to Beefy Boys, an upmarket burger place in Cheltenham, after seeing all about it on Tom Kerridge’s tv programme. This was supposed to be an early birthday treat for LooseCanon ( it’s not for another couple of weeks). We were having a coffee in a cafe to get out of the rain and got a message that Beefy Boys couldn’t open today because of some technical reason to do with their gas supply. Grrr! But we can re book at a 50% food discount at a later date.
So we had a brunch in the cafe we were already in. Good, but not quite what I had in mind. 
We had a wander round the shops and found that the telephone boxes in the middle of town are now little art displays, nothing inside I think, just the patterns on the windows.
It was wet. Very wet. 
We’re home now and it’s still very wet, and now it’s windy too.
Shockingly frightening film from Japan of the horrible aircraft fire, on top of the earthquake damage. Grateful to be safe and warm at home now.
