Slime mould

I saw these yesterday and took photos but then saw the Aurora and blipped that instead.
By coincidence there was a programme on Radio4 this morning about slime moulds. They are fascinating.
So I went back and took some more photos of them. They’re on an old decaying fallen oak tree. 
Nether fish nor fowl as the saying goes.
