If We... Allowed Long Pauses
At last, we got to do a decent walk - this is looking at Mourão from the west - our Land is beyond the ridge to the left of the castle; the town beyond the one on the right.
(Taken with my phone, as the lens on my camera has now broken beyond any repair Mike can do.)
Instead of Gratefuls today, some lines from Denise Levertov's poem, "Making Peace"
A line of peace might appear
if we restructured the sentence our lives are making,
revoked its reaffirmation of profit and power,
questioned our needs, allowed
long pauses . . .
Also, having listened to this sermon by a Lutheran pastor, Munther Isaac, recommended by Kendall, I urge all who read this to make the time/allow the long pause, to listen to it, just over 17 minutes long.
