Friends and family

Really lovely morning at church. Some old fashioned carols you don't hear very often now. The little congregation have been such a life line for me this last year and they were happy to pose for a selfie for my own memories. So no sharing their happy smiling faces, but it meant the world to me.
Instead, my photo today is of my front window. As it's right on the pavement, I decided when we first bought the cottage, not being a lover of nets, but needing some privacy at the front, to put this film on the door and window.  I've honestly never seen it with the light behind it, as we normally close the shutters indoors, but it looked so pretty when we came back from having tea with mum, especially with a few Christmas Dec's too.
Kevin and Karen, our neighbours, popped in for a drink for a couple of hours,  before we got into our Pj's as soon as they'd left and played a mountain of games, including rummikub, triominoes and senior moments. Plenty of laughter and ended up seeing the New Year in as our little family three. Me, MrK and FK. Happy New year all.
