When she comes home. I have to fix them 

That typically involves removing 8 layers of nail polish because she feels it better about it if they are well covered up 

I bought high density remover. I actually looked for a electric nail file I thought it would be THAT bad 


Turned out that it wasn't quite so bad 

It came off reasonably easy and then we dunked them.  We rubbed them with donkey creme (don't ask).  Then I filed them and cut them and buffed and polished.

I filed her soles dunked again donkey'd again and wrapped in a.cosy towel.

She is well happy now. 

And I am satisfied that I have performed my motherly duties
