Road closed

This is the “ main road “ out of Pershore to Evesham. The river has been rising all day. I tried to get to the cattery at 9 am allowing time to get through the temporary traffic lights , caused by the restaurant fire. When I saw this scene I decided not to even try , and did a u turn. Luckily the cattery can keep Bear. About half an hour later the road was closed… and as far as I know still rising. It’s had a knock on effect ( there is a bypass route but not all the villages are accessible)?as far as town goes; shops closed due to staff shortages and at Number 8 cinema goers trying to change their “ Wonka” booking!
We will see what the morning brings.
