Crathes Castle

It has been raining a few minutes ago, but it seems to have stopped as I take this photograph. We decide it is safe to go for a walk without getting soaked. This proved to be the case and we returned to the cafe later for a well deserved bowl of soup.

Most of the people we encountered during our walk seemed to have a dog. We did not have a similar excuse.

Retired to bed fairly early, though I did wake briefly at midnight to hear the sound of fireworks being set off in the vicinity. It had been raining heavily earlier in the evening. I did not look to see if it was still raining as we transtioned to the new year.
