At Helsinki
It's been a loooong day. 14 hours on the go.
It was nice seeing my parents and it was 10 degrees warmer in Helsinki. Only "feels like -23°C" when up here it's been -33°C in the feels department. The wind was really blowing strong on the Helsinki shore.
Had the appointment. My blood vessels are beautiful and perfect. Not even calcification in the vessels. No treatment in that department that could explain my pain.
This doctor actually agreed with me said that this could be some kind of neurological pain caused by the long covid,. He said that neurologist or doctor of infectious disease would be the next step in his opinion. He wrote me a statement of his findings after he did the ultrasound.
First he checked that I don't have a blood clot. He was actually quite worried about that because of the pain level I'm in. Luckily it was nothing that serious. But still a mystery.
Now again I need to call the healthcare clinic and make my case for the fourth time in few months. Last time the doctor offered me antidepressants over the phone, so I'm not that happy about contacting them again. If it gets really difficult with them, I think I will book one session with private clinic with a specialist, but even they need to refer me back to public health care. So it would just be one extra step to take. But certainly it could be someone who listens with time.
The picture is one of the Lux Helsinki light art installations. My mum and I walked to few places near where they live to see some. Lux Helsinki opened today. All the grand installations are in the different part of the town and it was just too cold for any long walks. We visited a gallery and a hotel lobby where we could be inside to keep warm and then endure some more arctic weather.
In the gallery we actually met the artist himself and he told us about his pieces. He had some really great pieces which to my had humor and made me feel happy. In the picture is not one of his pieces as I liked this picture the best. This piece from the hotel was more photogenic. :-D
