Diversity
On This Day In History
1965: L.B.J. envisions a Great New Society in his State Of The Union address
Quote Of The Day
"We seek not fidelity to an iron faith, but a diversity of belief as varied as man himself. We seek not to extend the power of America but the progress of humanity. We seek not to dominate others but to strengthen the freedom of all people."
(Lyndon Baines Johnson, State Of The Union address, 1965)
A book about Japanese vampires. The biography of a gay Japanese-American actor who played the helmsman on a multi-racial, mix-gendered, multi-species starship. I'd like to think there's a bit of diversity in the reading material of this mixed-race couple.
"We are a nation with no geographic boundaries,
Bound together through our beliefs.
We are like-minded individuals, sharing a common vision,
Pushing toward a world rid of colour lines."
