Cockatoodledoo

I was struggling for an image today so I decided to revert to my old tactic of choosing three random objects and (try) making them into a shot. Today's items are a patterned scarf, a necklace and a postcard of a cockatoo - why not!
It was only later when I turned over the postcard that I found out it was actually an invitation to a private view at a London gallery from 9 years ago (which either my brother or sister attended - it certainly wasn't me as I think I would have remembered it!) for an exhibition called "Wild Cockatoos" by the acclaimed Australian photographer and video artist Leila Jeffreys.
She is best known for her utterly captivating images of birds form Australia and around the world that explore and subvert the traditions of portraiture by photographing her avian subjects at human scale and particularly concentrating on colour, line and form.
