Thursday Walking Group

Normally I go out walking with my friend Ana, but she’s away at the moment so I joined a local walk group. As it’s too muddy to follow the footpaths around the village, so we’ve been walking around the village itself. Over the last few years our village has increased in size as over 4K new homes has been built.
There are plenty of signs around to show the history of Silver End.
1) the old railway tracks that moved goods when the garden village of Silver End was being constructed in 1926
2) The old barn which is now a home. The barn belonged to Boars Tye Farm on which village was built.
3) Boars Tye Road. Here you can see some of the original houses
