Alternative means

On this dash to the airport for my next work trip, traffic and flooded streets were not the obstacles of the day. Instead the taxi broke down on the way, with the driver citing a ‘fuel pump issue’. The owner of the taxi, who is this driver’s brother, then embroiled me in a dispute between them, as the owner claimed the driver had pocketed cash rather than put fuel in with it. At this point I just wanted to get to the airport by alternative means.

Here is the driver trying to flag down a substitute form of transport so I could complete my journey. It didn’t help that we were on a stretch undergoing maintenance so every workman and passing driver was rubber-necking and yelling contributions. We eventually hailed a tuk tuk and I made it.
