An improbable rose
We're due for some freezing temperatures, and - with luck - dry weather. So this glowing survivor of the mild winter won't be around for much longer, I think. Elsewhere in the garden, hellebores are coming into their own, with many tightly-curled buds, and a few flowers just opening (extra). . A cheering sight, in January. The forecast freezing weather will slow them down, but they'll probably bounce back all right.
Today Val and I got back into our weekly walking routine, with a trip out to Longshaw and a brisk walk through the woods there. It was quiet when we got there just before 10, but was quickly getting busy as we left again about 11.30. Val had covid over Christmas, so this has been our first chance to meet up.
Then Richard and I took down the Christmas decorations and packed them away in the loft.
All good 'new year' stuff on the domestic front.
Beyond the domestic, it all looks full of uncertainty.
Thanks, BikerBear, for the continuing Flower Friday hosting.
