At the Pancake House!

After packing up and vacating the Lodge we were staying in we went to the Pancake House for  breakfast ready for the journey home. I had a delicious pancake with bacon and maple syrup! 
The art work on the walls in all the cafes at Center Parcs was very interesting, related to the venue and quite simple drawings, I particularly liked this one in the Pancake House. 

This morning we had blue sky the first time in days…see extra of one of the many paths through the forest. There are still lights on the railings and the Santa Winter Wonderland area  has now been replaced by a Wishing Lights Trail….all the Christmas trees , reindeers and Santa accessories have been taken away but many of the lights are still in place plus some new ones . There were lots of people arriving as we drove out at mid day. 
It is such a big organisation…hundreds of lodges ..all needing to be cleaned etc, it must be a very big employer. We were told there are bus loads of workers coming from surrounding small towns each day. All the staff we had contact with were very pleasant and good, definitely above average. Restaurant staff excellent .

We had a good journey back to pick up our dog Libby, so different to the pouring rain on Tuesday.
A nice break , good to see the grandchildren enjoying their new activities, but also nice to be home.
