The Lower Shotover River …..

….. ….. ….. making its way to meet with the Kawarau River at the Shotover Delta.

What a gorgeous day; a relief after the chilly shock we had yesterday. I’d planned getting away earlyish but as often happens, life intervened, and Missy & I met up with daughter A, granddaughter M, and son M & partner B., at the Gibbston Valley Café for coffee & a savoury platter. Somehow some Pinot Noir chocolates arrived too - they went so well with coffee! Lots of chatter; we have lots of laughs too. M’s Venezuelan friend has a wicked sense of humour.

We all went our separate ways, and then Missy & I headed to Queenstown Central for shopping and then a walk along the Lower Shotover River.

I’m waiting for Joanna Lumley and the Northern Lights to start on TVOne - it’ll be happy memories!
