Second attempt
A week ago I "ran" up East Lomond as a recce for a race but didn't get the best line, today I fuond the way - just 50m further along a track than I went!
The temperature was similar to last week (around freezing) but the sun made it feel warmer and there was less breeze. Most of the iced puddles were gone so the descent from the top was much easier. The hill in the background is West Lomond, the subject of last Saturday's blip and not wearing a scarf.
We met our daughter in the car park, she'd been doing a recce of another leg and as I was going up the near vertical slope (that's what it felt like) I wondered if I should have done that leg as there was less climbing, 270m compared with 400.
Both East and West Lomond are sites of old hill forts.
We intended a second breakfast as last week's cafe but they were shut for their winter holiday so had to make do with takeaways from a nearby garage and a seat in a friend's campervan. (He also made me a cup of tea and we couldn't see where to get tea in the garage shop).
Back home I sewed and then we packed away Christmas, I won't put the things back in the loft yet as we're sure to have missed something.
