Signs of Spring.

A few photos taken on our walk to the pond this morning.
I was very surprised to see the snowdrops fully out. Ours are just peeping.
A lot of activity on the pond. Much chasing by the drakes. A lone Canada goose has returned. Not sure if it is male or female.

The three benches which were put up a few weeks ago now have plaques on.
The one near the school is in memory of a teacher. What a kind thought. She must have been very much loved.
Another is in memory of the gentleman who was founder of the village preservation society.

A pleasant day but no sunshine.
I have a venison and chestnut casserole in the oven at the moment. A new recipe I am trying out. So fingers crossed it tastes as good as it looks!

A certain person is a happy bunny at the moment as Leeds have won away from home.
