Nicky and her Nikon

Back to normal

Christmas is over and life is back to normal as if it never happened - school kids returned last week already which seems crushingly soon after the Christmas period. Today was grey and cold, and from midday we have had snow flurries but they were not terribly exciting, melting as they fell. It was cold but not as cold as one would expect. On my walk with Xena today I loved the soft blue coming through the grey skies, as can be seen here.

I was surprised to see so many fallen trees in our woods, and these are very mature and tall trees that fell in the storms last week. One tree crashed down in the direction of the car park and if there were cars parked there at the time it would have just missed them.

This afternoon I went to the doctor as I have a small patch on my leg that has been increasing in size so I wanted it checked out - I have to go back to the skin specialist doctor in the practice next week to get his opinion as the doctor was not sure what it is.

I made my usual vegetable and lentil soup for lunch, it is a healthy and tasty recipe without cream or anything like that. Post Christmas is definitely the time for healthy eating again!

Tonight it is our first camera club meeting after the Christmas break, its a zoom talk about AI in photography. I am pleased its on zoom as I don't feel like going out tonight! Gavin has an online drone workshop tonight that I booked for him as one of his Christmas presents, and then on Friday he has a in-person drone workshop that is being held in Norfolk.
