Scatness Sunset

A lovely calm day, mostly cloudy, the odd sunny spell.  Calm and clear tonight.  

Up at 5am, early shift in the airport.  A fairly quiet day of passengers, and a few delays due to freezing fog on the mainland.  Mostly meeting and boarding flights.  Popped by Laura's on my way home.  Walkies after work, more this evening, but mostly a quiet night by the fire.  Early to bed again. 

After what felt like forever with the gales blasting, it's great to be outdoors and not have wind or rain rattling in the ears.  Along with the gales, it was starting to feel like we'd never see sunshine ever again, thankfully that has not been the case.  There hasn't been much sunshine today, but we did get some beautiful colours as the sun started to set, around 1520hrs.  The days are slowly starting to get longer again, it'll still be a while before we see any big odds to daylight hours.  Taken at Scatness, Sumburgh.
