Another bit of flood. This one is in front of a hotel that was built about 15 years ago on one of the flood plains in South Oxford. The land for the footprint of the hotel was raised to protect it from flooding but its grounds flood very prettily and because there is less space for floodwaters to dissipate, nearby residential streets are at increased risk, less prettily.

This evening the XR group, which I stopped going to about a year ago when I felt I had too much to deal with, held a social and invited me. It was so good to see old friends and meet some of those who have joined the group in the last year.
