A cold day

The weather is cold but after a frost which melted this morning  as soon as the sun came up the temperature settled at 3.5 C.  I drove over to Sherborne this afternoon to the dental hygienist and noticed as soon I crossed the border into Dorset all the lanes were nicely gritted/salted against any frozen puddles or water leakages.  Our Somerset County Council is now a hundred million pounds in debt and it will be cutting back on some services like public loos .........
