… on the roofs early this morning, seen from our apartment. If any of the flakes had reached the ground, they would have long since melted.

As we later walked to our nearby market, an exterior thermometer registered zero degrees Celsius, which is exactly freezing. The unusually cold weather is expected to last all week, so we’ll need to get used to it.
