Showy Lady Slipper (Cypripedium reginae)

This is the last of the lady slippers native to Nova Scotia. This one is actually quite rare. It's much taller than the others and can produce several blooms per stem. This was the only open bloom in the Irving Centre Gardens, and was spectacular!!
