On the base.

Today the world travelling nurse came to help me with field work - it was her day off. We went to 14 Wing in Greenwood and checked out some populations of Helianthemum canadense that grow outside the perimeter of the fenced off air strip. At one point a fighter jet taxied out onto the runway and I thought I would get to see one take off. It just kept taxiing until it disappeared into a hangar.

Just before we left, all things botany having been taken care of, the big bomber took off over our heads. This is the image I chose from the several I captured. The nurse was concerned that MPs were going to come from the forest and seize my camera and telephoto lens pointed at their plane...
