Tristan has Joined Us!
Woohoo! Tristan arrived at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon when we drove to Riverside to meet him as his dad, Nick, brought him to us so that little T can go to camp with us. This past year he has lived with his dad and he has now completed Kindergarten.
Last year we were so bummed that Tristan did not get to go to camp and this year we are so excited that we do not have to repeat that "bummed" feeling.
We'll leave Sunday afternoon for a week on Catalina Island at Campus By the Sea. It's a terrific place to spend time with family. Tristan's mom, Desiree, cannot go because she has to work. She live in San Diego. Our son-in-law, John, and his two adult kids (our grandkids) Ashly and Emerson, will be going with us. We are thrilled. Our daughter is not currently living with them--she moved out about 1 year (which grieves us)--so we wait, while we hope and pray for this season of disruption to end. I've mentioned before that if you open in your dictionary to the word "dysfunction" our family is pictured there. Sheeeeeeesh!
We are looking forward to a tremendous week. We have a lot to do to get ready for Sunday's departure. I need to do some shopping for Tristan. He needs a hat, a hooded sweatshirt, and some Levi's. We'll get it done. Then I need to get my suitcase packed. Oh what fun!
Good night from Southern California.
