So thankful to have blue skies and sunshine today! We spent some time this morning trying to choose some accommodation for the second half of our Florida vacation which starts next week! This was a relatively last minute decision to go, to escape the grey dismal Ohio winter, and try and find some sunshine! We have the first 10 nights booked at an AirBnb on Anna Maria Island on the Gulf coast, but then we are planning to spend some time on the east coast, mainly as a base for birding at Merritt Island. That’s not as popular especially this time of year, so we weren’t as desperate to get it booked, but the days keep passing by, so we must get it booked!
However, after a while, we decided we must get out to enjoy the sunshine, so we went hiking at Rowe Woods. The car park was fairly full - we weren’t the only ones making the most of one of the very few sunny days this winter! My blip, for Abstract Thursday, is a cropped image of a stone bench along the trail. It was a beautiful afternoon for a hike - just a nice temperature, and everything looking so much more attractive in the sunshine! I have put a collage in the extras, featuring a few more scenes from our walk.
