Surprise!

A few days ago one of the hens (not Doris or Betty) laid the most enormous egg. It must have hurt!! This is the reason why - a double yolker and the yolks are the same size as one of the single yolk eggs I cracked.

Productive afternoon on the allotment, it is looking really good - mostly due to all Mr PB's hard work. Our first pickings of broad beans for tea - yummy!!
