Charlecote Deer

Firstly, many thanks for all the generous comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s Slovenian lake shots. Our week certainly ended on a high! And thanks also for following along and indulging me the lengthy entries and excessive extras.

So now we’re back in the UK. Another good flight, smooth passage through the airport and trouble free pick up of the car to drive to Amersham for an overnight stop before the journey home.

We stop off for a walk at Charlecote Park, though some areas remain closed due to extensive flooding. The deer are very skittish, tightly packed herds staying away from the main paths, and neither the lens I have with me nor the light make for good captures. Still, fallow deer are always good to see, especially when all four colours of the species – common, menil, melanistic and leucistic - are on show.

Then of course, there’s National Trust coffee and cake - so much better than stopping at a motorway service station!

Apologies for the lack of comments while we’ve been away. I’ll do my best to catch up, even if it’s only through stars.
