Hardy Laurel
A slightly milder day - though more cold weather is forecast, - so it was a good and pleasant opportunity to spend several hours out of doors.
Much of the time was devoted to cutting back a laurel bush which we planted many years ago when it was very tiny , but which has spread dramatically - sideways and upwards - over the years to the extent that it has grown over a wall which it was obscuring and in one place at least it had started rooting through the stones. .
The collage shows the progress from what it was this first thing this morning , to what it is now - shorn and with the bulk of it waiting to be burnt.
The bush looks a bit bare at present but it will come back and no doubt need to be cut again at some stage ! It is hardy after all......
