Walking Day

A great day for walking with friends.  A slight mist started the day and then it turned into glorious sunshine-all day.  We walked along the Fourth to begin with admiring the wading birds, which included lots of curlews with their evocative calls.
We walked up to the Hopetoun Estate and around the back of the house, crossing back round to the coast where we glimpsed fantastic views of Blackness Castle glinting in the sunshine.  After a lunch stop in the woods we took the same route back, the route in total came to 10 miles.
Full of fresh air we retired to The Thirty Knots Pubs-with beer for some and tea for others.  We sat in the window seat at the pub which gave us magnificent views of the Bridges-see extras.
