We found some better weather on a trip to the West and North of Madeira today in a jeep with driver and two girls from Stockholm. The main picture is of Porto Moniz which has a rugged coastline with natural swimming pools, they looked very inviting but we did not partake.
The extra was taken at Seixal, just before my husband fell on the slippery slope down to the beach. His wrist is badly swollen and painful so the first stop on arrival in Glasgow tomorrow may well be the minor injuries unit!
