Guess where I had lunch today ? There’s a big clue above.
Give up ? The Six Gold Martlets in Burgess Hill.
Martlets are mythical birds and are depicted on the coat of arms of the county of Sussex. There are also nine of them on the Crawley coat of arms which is shown in my Saturday’s blip, representing the nine neighbourhoods that were planned when the New Town was created. There are fourteen now.
