Thin Ice

This is the pond beside St. John’s Church, Buckhurst Hill, the spire of which can just be made out behind the trees to the left. The lych gate entrance to the graveyard is to the right of centre. It's a memorial to local men who died in the two world wars, whose names are displayed in relief on bronze panels.

I took this first thing this morning after I’d been out to have my hair cut. It was a bright day, but chilly, but the sky wasn’t quite as blue as my phone would have you believe! Nevertheless, I’m always glad when I can blip something that isn’t either in my house or garden, or within close vicinity of same.
