The remnants of Christmas

Today we picked up the grandchildren and finished making this Gingerbread house from a kit I had bought ages ago. It had to be made in stages ..first put it together and then later decorate. The icing was rather gloopy and difficult to get good lines but not too bad an end result..they were pleased as they liked putting on the snowflakes etc. The use by date was March so very solid gingerbread..not sure I want to eat any. Interestingly I had to pop to John Lewis this morning and saw some other similar kits , massively reduced, in their sale! I was not tempted to buy another . 

A chilly day and I managed to buy some good thermal ‘glacier’ gloves in a sale, for a trip I’m making in February . I will try them out cycling too.
