Brunch

It is Pat’s birthday on Thursday and as I’m working then we arranged to go for a birthday brunch today (Ellen, Pat and I). It was bitterly cold, but glorious in the sunshine as we walked down the loop line to Monton. We ate in Edison Bar and it was very tasty, washed down with a mimosa.

We bought a couple of cakes to share with a cuppa when we’d walked off the breakfast. We walked back along the canal, it was frozen over in places.

I carried on writing when I got back home…still a long way to go though.
