Peace Candle

For nearly two years, since Russia invaded Ukraine, we have lit a peace candle at the beginning of the Sunday service in our local church and have spoken the words of the International Prayer for Peace. The dreadful conflict between Israel and Palestine, the escalating situation in the Middle East, as well as unrest in so many other parts of the world, really makes me appreciate living in a peaceful corner of our planet while at the same time feeling so sad for the many innocent people who are suffering through no fault of their own.
