The White Stuff
Snow, even in January, is a relatively rare event in our part of the world. Our area is too low lying, too urban, too near the coast, and on the western side of this island. But today we awoke to snowy scenes.
Of course I immediately took a few photographs - another indication that it’s unusual. Snow just changes everything. But I like this imperfect one. The blackbird seemed non-plussed by the white stuff covering everything, and just hunkered down awhile in the bare branches of our Japanese maple.
