Snaw Armour

A fairly calm day, some lovely sunny spells, and a lot of snow.  Lovely calm evening, meant to drop to -7⁰c tonight, and more snow.

Woke up early, the work chat was pinging.  A struggle for early shift getting to work.  Just as I was about to leave, my phone rang, and I was told to stay home, but be ready to come if things improved, it didn't.  A day around the house and village, telly and jigsaw.  Met friend Julie for walkies in the morning, more walkies in the afternoon, and again tonight.  Poor Sammy isn't doing well with all the salt grit on the pavements.  Day off tomorrow, no need to worry about travel.

The snow continues to cause havoc.  All flights were cancelled again today, buses suspended, schools closed and local shops and businesses closing early.  The upside to the snow, it's a beautiful winter wonderland.  As the snow falls, it's very calming with no wind, and plenty more has settled.  As we came by the waterfront, the rock armour had a face-lift, a fluffy new look with the snow.  Taken along Main Street, Scalloway.
