Today's the day ........................ to light up

It's all about the light, so they say - and today, there was so much light about that I could have done with a pair of sunglasses.

The sun was low in the sky, and shining directly on to these branches, giving them an almost 3-D effect.  And because there was hardly a breath of wind to ruffle the surface, it also made the colour of the water in the River Dee look the deepest velvety blue.

Half an hour later, it was a different story.  The sun had dipped below the hill and new colours were taking over (see extra).  It was a very cold day out there today - but so good to be out in it .....................
