Lift Off

By pure luck I was standing right next to the tree she landed in.

I'd been busy all day, drove to 'the spot' in my gym kit and changed in the car only realising then that I'd forgotten my boots. Not therefore wanting to walk anywhere and freeze I parked up but was facing a setting sun and after a time gave up with nothing around. I drove to the junction, turned the car round and thought I saw an owl in the distance. Snuggling the car up against a wall out of traffic I waited, though not for long and couldn't believe it when this shortie landed in the tree oh so very close, looked around then took off into the sunset. So did I!
