"Swing of the winds"

Today we visited the Utsukushi-ga-hara open air museum which is a sculpture park @ 2000 metres up in the Alps near Matsumoto.
This dramatic piece, set against the edge of the cloud-filled abyss, is by a Japanese sculptor - Ryoki Kawasaki.
The museum was founded in 1981 and combines art and nature on a plateau in the Japanese Alps.
There are over 400 sculptures in the display, set amidst over 150 species of high-altitude wild flowers and plants.
This is a remarkable place, utterly tranquil, and unique in the world.
