1st birthday

Well, we made it down here ok! Saturday morning soccer got changed from 9 to 11 which meant Spence couldn't play. We weren't sure wether the canteen was still running or not so Fleur dropped Teddy and Leo off with me while she went to the fields to see.

It turned out that it wasn't on yet so she was back pretty quick! The kids were having a great time playing so she stayed for a bit and helped me get ready to go!

My cousin Bron came and picked us up and drive us to the airport which was lovely. We were just about to go through the X-ray checking point when I realized that I had left my phone in the car!! I had 5 minutes of panic trying to work out what to do because I had no phone to call her and didn't know her number as its in the phone!! I tried to use a pay phone but didn't have enough coins to make the call so went up to a nice looking man and asked to borrow his phone to call mine in the hope that Bron heard it and realized that she still had it!!

She answered and was already turning around because someone else had tried to call it and she worked out what had happened! Luckily we had got to the airport in plenty if time so she could come and give it to me!! Didn't really need that panic though!!

The flight was good, Joti slept for the last bit and spence was fine. Nik picked us up at the airport and we also saw Fleur's mum, Lolly, there! She lives in Devonport and has to fly into Melbourne and then get another flight to maroochydore. We thought we might see each other because of the timing of our flights but we were late so I thought she may have left already. Her flight was just beginning to board when we came out so it was great timing!

Today we mucked about in the morning, spence and I went shopping while Anne looked after a sleeping Joti which was nice! We got spence some new shoes, socks and pants which was exciting for him!

We also got a present for Logan who turns 1 on Thursday but who's party was today at Anne and Ed's house where we are staying! There was about 15 people who came and everyone had a great time. Logan coped really well with all the noise and attention and loved the walker thing we got him!!

Friends of Clare and Cindy made an amazing cake which was delicious as well as looking wonderful! Here are the top two layers!

Tomorrow we are going to Traralgon to see Mum and then to Shell's house to stay the night. It will be interesting to see how Mum is, if she is heaps better than two weeks ago when I was last here! Her walking is going really well but her reading, writing and speech is coming along slower.
