Orla & Conor

Rebecca

Orla had been heavily procrastinating about starting to read her English Literature IGCSE set text because the one that had been decided for her by Wolsey Hall was 'The Namesake' by Jhumpa Lahiri. It was just not a book that appealed to her. Then it dawned that it wasn't actually necessary to prepare for question on this book as there were several others she could choose from. She just wouldn't get any support from Wolsey Hall. on the text (which was absolutely not a problem). It just so happened that Mum had read Rebecca twice and most recently after buying this nice looking version of the book at the Jamaica Inn in Cornwall (where Rebecca is also set). So now Orla's procrastination has turned into eagerness to get started!

Charles Dickens: Great Expectations

Jhumpa Lahiri: The Namesake
