The market square - the blue anchor pub is situated in this area (or The boundary). this is quite an old building even though it doesnt look it. Can you spot the false windows. The original windows were bricked up to avoid paying the window tax between the 15th and 19th centuries. The Blue Anchor has closed as a pub but is still open as a restaurant. The blurb when I googled it didnt say when it was built or if it isa listed building

Many of our pubs are closing and are being reopened as Tesco Metros or McDonalds /burger king or Sainsbury local so it is good to see it as a restaurant.
