HELLO AND GOODBYE

Our last day on Shetland and after the packing and cleaning we set off for Nesting in the hope of Otters. No Otters but we did see one of only two breeding pairs of Black-tailed Godwits on the islands. We did not have time to explore Lingness properly, but it looked so lovely that we will just have to come back another time!

Next an all too brief visit to the Shetland Museum where we said hello to ZE1Christie, but again, had only a short time to look round before we needed to leave for the ferry home. And when we got to the ferry terminal there was no queue of vehicles waiting to load and were waved aboard immediately. Not late, but last on!

What a magnificent holiday, the Birder is happy, and it was lovely to meet ZE1Christie and Carol's Clicks. They live in a beautiful place and 2 weeks was nowhere near long enough for a visit.
