IT'S A STAYING IN SORT OF DAY TODAY!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

It wasn’t quite as cold as yesterday when we all got up this morning, but there is a chilly wind that makes it feel cold and we know that lots of our friends “oop north” have lots of snow, so we are more fortunate down there, although Mr.  HCB would love some snow!

Anyway, the sky is grey and the wind is chill, so we have decided to stay indoors for the day - we have a lovely warm house - although the HCBs just keep their heating at 17°C so we decided that we would find some games and play with them - and hopefully, Mrs HCB will make us all a hot chocolate with marshmallows a bit later.

You can see we have all sorts of board games - we love Monopoly, but that tends to go on for a long time, so a quick game of Sequence, which the HCBs brought back from their trip to America back in 2012 or Dominoes, Double Nine no less, that belonged to Mrs. HCB’s Mum, can be played by some of us in-between.  Then of course, there is Scrabble - but we don’t often let Mrs. HCB play that because she always wins!  You can, no doubt, guess who the Cricket World Cup game belonged to and then there is a very old game of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which is still good fun, but no coughing allowed so that rules Mr. HCB out!

We could also play cards and we know that Mr. HCB likes a game of Cribbage and Mrs. HCB is quite a good player too - she has been well taught by Mr. HCB and often used to play with their son when he was staying with them last year. 

So we are all snuggied in for the day - and we are sure that Admirer would have loved to join us.  Mr. Plod the Policeman is very good at making sure we abide by the rules and of course, when you live with the HCBs, you never cheat!  

We hope whatever you do today you stay safe and warm and remember, and we know we keep saying this, but it is worth repeating, BE KIND because you never know what someone else is going through.

P.S.  This would make Admirer giggle, Mrs. HCB has just said she will play any of the games as long as she can Knit and Knatter at the same time - what is she like?
