Miniature Forest

We pass this moss-covered brick wall on our daily walk, and today I decided to take a close-up of it, but I was a bit too hurried so I’m not very pleased with the result. Nevertheless, it will have to do.

One of my bird feeders was on the ground this morning; the nut at the end of the central spike had come loose and dropped off. This has happened before, but that time I couldn’t find the tiny nut anywhere in the undergrowth beneath the feeder. Today I was more fortunate; I spotted it after I’d spent some time looking, and was able to bring the feeder indoors and re-assemble it. Well, I can’t have my bird friends going without their peanuts in this cold weather, can I?
