Moss
I started the day with 20 items on my list of things to do today in my Things productivity app, with one more added during the day (another order for cards). I am finishing the day with just six jobs left to do, none of them urgent, meaning I've ticked off 15 of them. So not bad going, really, but it didn’t leave me with much time for photography.
I did take myself out in the garden with the macro lens after lunch because I fancied trying to capture some of the moss on a brick wall bordering the terrace steps. There were two problems. First, there was the difficulty of bending my arthritic knees to see through the camera’s viewfinder. I was using a tripod, but couldn’t decide whether it would be simpler just kneel on the ground (that was a bridge too far for the knees) or half crouch behind the tripod. The latter won, but it was still painful.
The second problem was that I’m useless at macro photography. So here’s a weird shot of a moss which my Photos app identifies as grimmia pulvinata. I have no idea what it is, so who am I to argue?
