The Hawea River Track

Today's choice for the Monday walking group.
It was a great walk and The Boss ran up 13.5 km for the day and is now feeling suitably exercised.
Walking around the area these days is a shared experience with Bikers which does add an extra component to look out about and this was demonstrated when a biker hit a small ridge on shingle and came a spectacular cropper but appeared unhurt and climbed back on.....
The extra today is the Lake Wanaka wharf now under water. It's been raining on the West Coast which feeds the lake.
